This course builds on the incredibly effective protocol from TMJ1 which is a pre-requisite for this course.
Detailed anatomy of the temporomandibular joint, and evaluation of the facial bones including maxilla, frontal, palatine, vomer, zygomatics and nasal bones
How to recognise and assess for common jaw and bite relationships that may impact upon or be impacted by TMJ. The role of the jaw in the balance of the body.
Understand the terminology of these classifications and gain the confidence to work alongside dental professionals to treat this debilitating condition.
Advanced direct and indirect myofascial techniques for the head neck and shoulder
Cranio-sacral techniques and the clinical application of hard palate and facial bone techniques.
How to rebalance the temporal bones and mandible to ensure smooth alignment of the jaw and also reduce stress in the body to help prevent the ‘clamping’ reaction
Release the maxilla, facial and palatine bones intra-orally and release individual teeth.
Rehab exercises including exercises to help control TMJ (jaw joint) hypermobility, tooth grinding and jaw clenching
